Transformative CSR Initiatives in 17 villages in Karnataka Provision of Basic infrastructure for anganawadis, Primary and High schools thus empowering 1119 students. We also worked to improve the quality of the environment and lifestyle of nearby villages in a 10-km radius around the mining leases of Chitradurga and Tumkur in Karnataka.

Promoted India’s First Geriatric Centre in Bangalore under Nightingales Medical Trust.
We worked with Krishnamurti Foundation of India (KFI) and constructed a girl’s Hostel in Rishi Valley School Madanapalli, Andhra Pradesh.
Large-scale Afforestation: Since the 1990s, we have undertaken massive afforestation not only within the mine but also within a radius of 25 km surrounding the mine including village roads, state-highways, schools, hospitals. To support local communities we planted fruit trees such as mango, tamarind, etc. Our efforts have been appreciated by faculty from ISM-Dhanbad, ICFRE -appointed by the Hon’ble Supreme Court, State Govt., etc.
Substantial reduction in Carbon Footprint was achieved with the construction of a railway line up to our mines in Chitradurga District.
Nurseries: In 2004, we developed three nurseries with one lakh saplings of endemic species. These saplings are continually used for plantations around our mines.
